As the year anniversary of when a friend and I started reconnecting approached, I reminded her of the day we bumped into each other in a random place. She had a job she didn’t like, and was actually working at the time. For her the memory was embarrassing, because she didn’t like that job and she didn’t like for people to see her doing it.  There was nothing wrong with the job by the way.

For me, the moment we bumped into each other was a breath of fresh air.  My life was a bit upside down.  My family was caring for a family member on her deathbed.  It was a rough spot.

When I turned the corner that day and ran into her, it opened it up breathing room. I got to talk to someone who had no idea what was going on. For that few minutes we stood and talked I got a break from the swirling mess that was going on in my head. I got to experience her smile and laugh. For me I needed that moment, that breath more than anything.

You never know how you’re impacting another person’s life. You may or may not know the person you’re impacting. You may or may not know that you are making an impact at all.   So, why not see yourself in your highest light? Then you can have the highest possible impact. 

Loving yourself means seeing you in your highest light. Always!

There is a beautiful metaphor about how we treat the Universe. It’s this…we have no trouble ordering a pizza or a book from Amazon and trusting that what we request will show up, but when it comes to the Universe, we place our order and then spend all of our time after that asking the following questions:

•Am I going to get what I asked for?

•Am I worthy of getting what I asked for?

•When will it come? Why hasn’t it come?

All of this mistrust is creating non-consistency. This is where you get to be radical about your relationship with you, you get to be radical with trusting the Universe. After I place an order with the Universe, every time I move into doubt, I pause and say, “I’m loved and supported. I let go and know that there is a solution.”

Some of my favorite public figures are rather outspoken (with a touch of irreverence) and full
of confidence. If you meet me in person, you’ll say the same thing about me. What I’ve learned
over the years is that what separates people who are full of confidence from those that have
none is belief in themselves.

Look, we all have made horrible mistakes that made us fall face first in cow manure. But that
doesn’t mean we have to beat ourselves up about it. Think about a child, for instance. Let’s say
a child forgets to tie his shoe. Do you throw a hissy fit because the child forgot to tie his shoe?
Do you sulk and eat Cheetos in front of the TV because the child didn’t tie his shoe? Do you

A friend asked me, “I know you said to have a list about what you want in a relationship, but how do you know when to compromise?”

My response to her, “I don’t compromise.” And that’s the truth. I don’t.  About 50% of you reading this are saying everyone has to compromise.  That’s just the way it is. Probably another 25% of you are checking out because you believe someone who isn’t willing to compromise is difficult and has too high of an opinion of themselves., and you’re not going to be that person. And I’m not sure what the rest of you will think about this.

My hope is that you would be thinking; how would my life look different if I didn’t compromise?   When you compromise, you sell your wants and needs short.  The more you compromise the further you get from your wants and needs. And that’s not good for anyone, especially you!

Somewhere along the line someone told us we had to compromise, and we just went with it.  Then we went out into the world expecting to compromise. What if you didn’t expect to compromise on a daily basis? What if you expected to get what you wanted? How would your world look different? Every time you compromise, you let the Universe know you’re willing to settle.  Every time you turn down something ok, because you want great, you tell the Universe you’re worth it.

I’m not willing to compromise, especially when it comes to whom I want to share my life with. I believe that when you stop compromising, getting what you want gets easier. When you stick to what you truly want, what you truly want flows easier to you.  Love yourself.  Don’t compromise.

they just worked harder, did more things, made more money, achieved more things, that a

still…you. Decorating yourself or getting more things doesn’t make people want to love you.

attracted to you. They feel at peace. They feel at home. They feel loved.

In return, they give the same gifts (if they aren’t selfish leeches). You see, how you treat

days? Become aware of how you’re treating you. I guarantee that what’s happening outside of
you is simply a mirror that reflects what’s going on inside of you.
