Women in particular tend to confuse self care as self love. They think that getting their nails done or getting a massage is self love. However, even those things can be done out of self-loathing too. When you love yourself deeply self care is a natural product of that. However, if you are getting your nails done because you are trying to “look better” it’s not really loving. If you are getting your nails done because it feels good to pamper yourself it’s a whole different story. It’s the motivation that produces the real result.
